World's First Artificial Womb by Ectolife

With the aid of synthetic wombs, EctoLife is an idea that allows parents to "produce" customised children. People could select their baby's intelligence level, height, eye color, athletic prowess, and even skin tone with a "Elite Package."

Have you ever considered the idea of an infant being "produced" in a setting resembling a factory? Many people are debating the future of pregnancies after seeing a film of rows of babies being developed inside a pod in what appears to be a scene from Keanu Reeves' Matrix.

EctoLife, the "world's first artificial womb facility," is currently just an idea that would allow parents to have custom-made children.According to his website, Hashem Al-Ghaili, a producer, filmmaker, and science communicator who resides in Berlin, is a "molecular biologist by trade."

What is the "artificial womb ''? What are its elements and for what reason is EctoLife required?

According to Al-Ghaili, the EctoLife concept is the result of more than fifty years of "groundbreaking scientific research" by researchers around the world.

It will be possible to create 30,000 babies per year in transparent "growth pods" in a laboratory.

According to the UK's Metro newspaper, the facility, which would be powered by renewable energy, would have 75 laboratories with up to 400 growth pods or artificial wombs in each.

The environment inside these containers is intended to be similar to that found in a mother's womb.

According to Metro, parents can monitor their child's growth and development using a screen on the pods that shows real-time statistics.

A phone app can be used to monitor this info as well.Al-Ghaili was cited by Mirror.co.uk as stating, "The artificial intelligence based system also monitors the physical features of your baby and reports any potential genetic abnormalities."

The infant can be taken out of the pod during delivery with the "push of a button."

"EctoLife offers you a risk-free, painless option that makes childbirth less stressful for you. The delivery procedure is simple, convenient, and only requires the push of a button, according to a statement quoted by Metro. It went on to say, "You will be able to easily remove your baby from the growth pod after discharging the amniotic fluid from the artificial womb."

Artificial wombs

If ethical constraints are lifted, according to Al-Ghaili, artificial womb facilities may become a fact in about ten years.
He claimed that "every single feature" described in the idea was entirely based on science and had already been accomplished by engineers and scientists.
The filmmaker was cited by Mirror.co.uk as saying, "The only thing left is building a prototype by fusing all the features into a single device."
According to him, once moral restraints are removed, people may soon be open to utilising the technology.
"In terms of timing, the moral standards really matter. Currently, human embryo study is only permitted up to 14 days. Due to social considerations, embryos must be destroyed after 14 days, the producer stated.
According to Metro, he said, "If these ethical constraints are relaxed, I give it 10 to 15 years before EctoLife becomes widely used everywhere."
Al-Ghaili continued, "Add to that five years of public education and awareness to help people become more receptive to the technology."

The "Elite Package"

According to Mirror.co.uk, a "Elite Package" would enable individuals to "genetically engineer the embryo before implanting it into the artificial womb."
Parents can choose their child's intellect level, height, eye color, skin tone, hair color, and physical stature.
According to a statement, according to Metro, "you can edit any trait of your baby through a wide range of over 300 genes thanks to the CRISPR-Cas 9 gene editing tool."
Parents will also be able to "fix any inherited genetic diseases" with the "Elite Package".

Need for a synthetic placenta

According to Interesting Engineering, EctoLife offers couples a way to conceive children without going through pregnancy or even conception. (IE).
Al-Ghaili asserts that nations with falling populations, including South Korea, Japan, and Bulgaria, can "benefit" from the artificial womb facility.
It also seeks to make it easier for infertile couples to have biological children of their own.
The director thinks the device can help women whose uteri were removed because of cancer or other reasons.

BABA VANGA PREDICTION 2023

The rise of lab babies was one of the forecasts for 2023 made by the blind Bulgarian mystic who is credited with foreseeing the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Barack Obama's election to the presidency.
Baba Vanga prophesied that lab-grown humans would eventually replace natural births. The mystic's adherents theorise that this could imply that world leaders and medical professionals would determine who is born and that the parents of the child would have the option of modifying the baby's characteristics and appearance, such as hair and eye colour.
Baba Vanga foresaw lab babies, and if Ectolife—the first artificial womb facility—comes to pass, her forecast will come true.

Experts opinion
According to experts, the technology is not all that futuristic and might one day become a fact.
According to King's College London professor of obstetrics Andrew Shennan, "Theoretically, it's conceivable. Simply supplying the right environment with fuel and oxygen will do, and I believe the technologies are available to do that.
"There are many instances where babies are delivered very early and cared for well in incubators, which is a very naive form of what you're talking about, and they are fed by tubes down to their stomachs," he continued.
Shennan added that the early phases of a baby's development, when organs are forming, would not present as much of a challenge as artificial wombs.

According to HuffPost UK, he stated that there are "all sorts of biochemical and immunological things that go on" when it comes to antibodies being transferred from the mother to the fetus, adding that this requires more study.

IVF will eventually be used to create the majority of people, Professor Joyce Harper, director of the UCL Institute for Women's Health's Reproductive Science and Society Group, told HuffPost UK. Additionally, that this [EctoLife] might be possible. I believe that in science, you should never state never.
